Cool Mist & Water Misting Applications
Commercial Cooling
Commercial, hotel and restaurant outdoor patio areas are almost not used in the hot summer months. Cloudburst’s cool mist systems have proven to be a strong revenue producing factor for hotels, resorts, restaurants and concession areas. Outside areas have been turned into comfortable retreats. Hotel guests are drawn from their rooms, boosting revenues and saving on room air conditioning costs. Once attracted, customers stay longer and spend more
Industrial Cooling
Overheating of equipment causes equipment failure and production line downtime.
Cloudburst’s mist systems technology provides optimum temperature and humidity control to keep equipment running at optimum levels. Custom designed systems can be configured for warehouse, plant and factory applications.
Humidity Control
The Cloudburst water misting systems are an inexpensive, cost effective solution to humidifying warehouses, factories, greenhouses wine barrels and wood storages.
Dust & Odor Control
Cloudburst’s mist systems proven technology generates 10 micron water droplets which attract and suppress PM 10 and smaller dust particles. Our systems offer a solution that can help eliminate both the fugitive dust problem and the odors.
Special Effects
To create “smoke” or “fog,” theme parks and studios have often had to resort to chemicals or oils to produce the required special effect.
The Cloudburst fog system offers a safe alternative to these methods. Using only high-pressure water, our systems create the required atmosphere with no discomfort or possible injury to spectators or actors.
Residential Cooling
Many people are unable to enjoy their patio or yard areas during the heat of the summer. Pets and plants suffer due to intense heat.
Customers say their lifestyles have been changed completely by outdoor cooling (misting system). They are no longer “trapped” inside their homes. Pets and plants are healthier. Now you can enjoy the outdoors year round.
Outdoor Cooling
The ability to cool outdoor areas depends on three factors – the wind, temperature and humidity. With either light wind or no wind, you can achieve some remarkable results, depending on temperature and humidity. In outdoor areas, normally .008” or .012” nozzles are employed. In these areas, the use of misting fans can help move the cooled air to the desired location or spread it over a large area. Fans are especially helpful in areas with high humidity – 60% and above.
Cooling outdoor areas is relatively straight forward and can be broken into 2 different types:
Athletic and Amusement Cooling
In this type of cooling, the people don’t mind getting damp, and more often then not prefer to. Generally, fans are placed at head height so people can stand directly in front of the fan.
Factories/Hospitality
When cooling a large area where the people don’t want to notice the moisture, the fan(s) should be set at their highest level with the fan, aimed slightly above the horizon with the oscillation set to match the area being cooled. If possible place the fan 10-20’ be¬hind the area to be cooled. This will allow the cooled air to settle and keep the units sound from being bothersome.
